PROGRAM AIMS:
The focus of this program is to develop a caring attitude towards the environment amongst students. The program emphasises ways that students can contribute to environmental quality at home and at school, by undertaking simple actions that reduce their impact on the environment. Students will take part in three activities designed to encourage these actions: (2) ‘Stormwater Model’ - students watch a demonstration of a stormwater model to understand the process of stormwater pollution and how behaviour change can reduce impacts on local waterways close to the school. (3) ‘Schoolyard environmental investigation’ - students will investigate the school grounds in order to identify positive and negative grounds management practices. All the activities will take place in your school.
