Millers Point is designed to support the Global Challenges topic of the Stage 6 Geography Syllabus. It specifically targets the section relating to the "issues arising from the changing size and distribution of population including environmental, social and economic impacts" By undertaking a detailed study of the Urban Renewal process occurring in Millers Point - an inner city community, students gain first hand experience of these impacts. The fieldwork uses a variety of inquiry methodologies to enhance geographic skills and is an excellent support as a prelude to students undertaking their own research for the Senior Geography Project.
