Toys Tales and Teatime

Years 2 -3

This program is designed to support the HSIE K-6 Syllabus for Stage One and Two students. It focuses on the 'Change and Continuity', and 'Overview of Cultures' outcomes. Students will visit sites that will be used as a focus on different periods of time in the Rocks area. At each site students will be told a tale that relates to the people who may have lived in that place at a particular time. Following on from each tale there will be a set of activities/games that link the past and present and show continuity and change by encouraging interaction, empathy and participation from students. Opportunities also exist to visit other educational venues in the area that will offer interactive programs such as Susannah Place.
